Teraoka is a shoyu (soy sauce) brewer found on Hiroshima in western Japan that inherits traditional barrel brewing methods as well as production of an authentic soy sauce.
This is a double concentrated Mentsuyu, or Japanese soup stock which can be used as a soup base.
Teraoka ensures only the use of the highest quality and organic ingredients (when possible) and this product is no exception. With a base of organic soy sauce and sugar, the umami from dried kelp, sardines, bonito, and shiitake mushrooms has been added to give this mentsuyu a flavor punch.
This product is a concentrated soup stock. It is recommended to use in small amounts or dilute it with water, if necessary.
For dilution, please use one part mentsuyu, one part water.
Use as a soup base for soups and noodle dishes.
