Simply press down on the food you're cooking with this grill press to speed up the cooking process. By slightly flattening your food, and ensuring more of it is in contact with the frypan, heat will be distributed evenly across the food you're cooking. This is especially useful for foods like bacon, which tend to curl up in the pan.
Using a grill press allows you to cook your food extra crispy, makes it super easy to cook smash burgers, and gives a very consistent browning on toasted sandwiches. Not only that, if you pre-heat the press on the stove beforehand, you can use it to cook the upper side of your food, as iron retains heat very well.
