Hikari Miso is a Japanese food company specialized in producing miso products. This is the assorted instant miso soups that have 5 different miso pastes and 10 different garnishes.
It contains miso pastes from five major miso production sites: Sendai, Kaga, Shinsyu, Sansyu (eastern Aichi prefecture), Kyusyu. Compare the flavor of each miso paste and find your favorite.
The combination of miso and garnish sums up to 50 variations. You can enjoy the selection of miso and ingredients according to your preference.

- Sendai miso is made from rice and has a rich aroma and solid umami which makes the soup flavorful.
- Shinsyu miso is made from rice and features a fresh scent, mild taste, and refreshing aftertaste.
- Sansyu miso is a soy-based miso which is characterized as a full-bodied miso with rich umami and sourness.
- Kaga miso is a rice miso that features excellently rich smell as well as smooth and sweet taste.

- The garnishes consist of wakame seaweed, tofu, spinach, green onion, fried tofu, okra, aosa seaweed, Chinese cabbage, egg, and pak-choi.
Instructions
Choose one miso paste and garnish each, transfer these into a bowl, and pour 160ml≒5.4 us fl oz of hot water. Stir well and it is ready to eat.
The small packages contains miso paste while the large ones are garnishes. The following is the information on each miso and garnish that corresponds to the packet color:
- Sendai miso: orange
- Shinsyu miso: yellow
- Sansyu miso: red
- Kaga miso: purple
- Kyusyu miso: green
- Wakame: blue
- Tofu: pale yellow
- Spinach: green with a description of "ほうれん草"
- Green onion: yellow-green
- Fried tofu: brown
- Okra: green with a description of "オクラ"
- Aosa: sky blue
- Chinese cabbage: white
- Egg: orange
- Pak-choi: pink
