This is a high-quality and organic variety Gyokuro green tea from Harimaen, a tea manufacturer local to Kyoto. Gyokuro tea is well known for having a nice balance of natural sweetness and umami, without being overly astringent.
Gyokuro is a high class Japanese tea that is grown in shaded conditions to give the tea plenty of natural umami flavor and aroma. These particular gyokuro tea leaves have been grown in Uji city, Kyoto prefecture and have been shaded for 20 days to prevent sunlight from touching the leaves.
This gyokuro green tea has a rich aroma and sophisticated taste. You can easily enjoy the tea just by dipping the tea bag into hot water.
Harimaen from the Ujitawara area of Kyoto, produces organic teas by making the most of the natural blessing environment.
Instructions
For Hot Tea: Put boiling water into a cup and let it cool to 60°C. Place 1 tea bag into a tea cup, and then pour the slightly cooled hot water into the cup. Allow the tea leaves to brew for about 1 minute before consuming.
For Cold Tea: Place 1 tea bag into a tea cup and pour cold water into it. Brew for 5 minutes or more.
