Nori tsukudani is a seaweed paste seasoned with condiments like sugar, mirin (sweet sake), and various seafood dashi. With a spoonful of this condiment, you can casually enjoy the taste of nori seaweed.
The freshly harvested nori seaweed is immediately processed to a paste, before being seasoned with the manufacturer’s secret sauce. As a result, it has both a rich sweetness and umami.
Although, normally, pasted seaweed is a condiment for steamed white rice, the manufacturer also recommends spreading this product on bread with butter.
